The Columbine is the State Flower of Colorado. It is a beautiful and delicate flower that comes in many colors.
I’ve been in search of a meadow of nothing but Columbines. There are tales and even photos of such a field. To date I haven’t found it, but I continue to search.
I saw a field of columbines at the top of stanley canyon on the Airforce Academy. It’s a steep hike and I don’t think you can drive to get there but it’s worth it
Tami thank you very much for the tip. I do believe I’ve made that hike, is it the one that is very rocky, as in boulders all the way up the slope? I will have to search it out. 🙂
