Halloween is coming and the ghosts and goblins are out in full force! Beware!

The weather is still so nice and warm, it’s time to get out and enjoy it while we can.

Reflective

Tonight I spend a lovely evening enjoying the Denver Botanic Gardens. I didn’t know you could take your own picnic dinner into the gardens. It’s good therapy for a Friday night.

Mrs. Moose Enjoying Dinner

This afternoon we took a drive through Rocky Mountain National Park. I was delighted to get a photo of this mama Moose having dinner while her little one frolicked in the meadow.

I attended a special photo shoot for Hawk Quest this summer. This owl had the cutest face as she posed for us. All the birds of prey with Hawk Quest have been rescued and now earn their living teaching the public about their species.

What a delight it is to be able to drive up Mt. Evans road to 14,130 feet above sea level and see the view. Included with the trip are cute little wild things like this Mt. Goat kid.

Attention Herd!

There is a story here as to why the goats are all looking at me.

On top of Mt Evans, a young woman was hiking with her dog. The dog was on a lease and well behaved. They walked over to see the view and the goats as they grazed. As soon as the goats saw the dog, they formed a line, standing at attention. I think they were preparing to defend the herd. It was an interesting few moments. The dog probably looked like a wolf to them and they were ready. The poor harmless and clueless dog had no idea the effect his presence had on the herd.

I was lucky to get a good picture of it!
