Traveling the back roads of Colorado, I get to see (and hear) many things. This particular morning I was photographing the aspen trees in the high country. This cow keep mooing and mooing. I think she wanted to join me or at least communicate in some way! It was fun to be noticed by a cow. I took her picture so I could remember the moment.

The Balloon Festival in Frederick had these beauties flying overhead. The Western Spirit Balloon is one of my all time favorites.
The Lantern Festival in Colorado Springs had people building lanterns and setting them afloat on the lake. It was an inspirational evening.

Bill the Bison goes swirly! Sometimes you just have to break out of that mold! He lives up in Genesee off I-70 along with his herd. They are traffic stoppers!

The sunset was not nearly as good as the alpine glow to the east. It was a very chilly night, a few days prior to the full moon.

This week we experienced a Blue, Blood, Eclipsed moon! As the moon went into full eclipse it turned amazing colors! Here is was just starting out of the eclipse, just before the sun broke over the horizon.

We finally had a wonderful snow day today on Sunday! I went all the way out to the National Wildlife Refuse (aka The Arsenal) in hopes of finding a beautiful Bison with a snowy beard. No luck. The government is closed today and thus the gate was locked. Darn! On the way home I saw this wonderful Red Caboose. It tempted me so much I stopped, trespassed (just a tiny bit) and captured this image as the snow blew all over!
It worked for me!

One of my associates who owns a horse remembered that I want to photograph horses in the snow. She invited me over to her barn, lucky me! We didn’t get much snow, but still the horses were enjoying being outside and were actually showing off for me!
