Afternoon Shadows

The shadows of the afternoon get longer as the days get shorter. Taken at Hudson Gardens at the peak of autumn.

Take a Roller Coaster ride to the clouds if you dare! This was taken just before the sun went down of a lovely fall day. The park is closed for the winter now so the thrill of this ride will have to wait.

Dawn of Amusement

Sunrise at the amusement park is amusing on several levels. I for one am grateful to witness a colorful sunrise because they just don’t happen everyday. Then being at this location makes it even more special, so worth getting up early!

Wild Chipmunk

Rice the Wild Chipmunk at Lakeside! I’ve heard it is quite a thrill to ride these old wooden roller coasters. I prefer not to tempt fate and be satisfied with just photographing them.

Summer Garden

Flowers growing in the gardens at Washington Park are magnificent right now.

Elephant Lunch

Denver Zoo has a new Elephant Pavilion where the Elephants have lots of room to roam. There are many places for the kids to play and work their imagination too. While many zoos across the country have had to give up their large elephants, Denver Zoo is expanding thanks to the generous donations and vision of Denver Zoo. Hope you get a chance to visit it soon.

Star Spangled Rider

To celebrate the 4th of July we went to the top of Mt. Evans. Along the way I captured this image of a rider climbing the Mt. Evans Highway at 14,000 ft. above sea level! The cyclist made a wonderful, colorful sight above the timber line.

Denver’s Season for Food Trucks is Now

Summer is the time when Food Trucks gather for Civic Center EATS. The seventh-annual Civic Center EATS Outdoor Café will launch Tuesday, June 5 from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and will continue every Tuesday and Thursday through September 27. Civic Center EATS is your opportunity to experience the beauty of Civic Center while enjoying and outdoor lunch, live music and a chance to connect with the downtown community.
