Tonight the clouds over Denver put on a wonderful show. I hope the stormy weather over Coors Field passes quickly and doesn’t effect the Colorado Rockies…they are doing so well!
A ride in the meadow
Horseback riders were enjoying their day as was I. Sitting on the hillside waiting for the wind to die down so I could shoot flowers, these guys came into view. I couldn’t resist.

Guitar Heros On Stage
Dozens of bands are playing this weekend at the People’s Fair in Civic Center Park, Capitol Hill of Denver. The only time to shoot bands is before they start rocking. Or at least that’s when you catch them standing still…sorta.

When I see such pretty things, I think being a dog in America would not be such a bad thing.

This young man wasn’t convinced that bouncing so high in the air was fun. He gave it a stellar effort for a few tries than decided enough is enough.
Central City Promo Gal
The People’s Fair on Capitol Hill attracts Coloradans from all over the state. This young lady was in a booth promoting Central City, known for it’s Opera House and of recent years, gambling. I liked the way this photo turned out, she looks as though she stepped into today from yesteryear. (except maybe for the tatoo.)
Did you Walk your iguana today?
I admitted to this gentleman that in all my days, I’ve never seen anyone take their Iguana for a walk. Not only did this lucky lizard get to go for a walk, but she got to go to the People’s Fair! She let me pet her…another first.
View From the Capitol Steps
Walk up the steps and you will see the engraved step that indicates the altitude “5280 feet” why Denver is known as the “mile high city.”
