Just around the corner from the Colorado State Capitol building is this fabulous restaurant. Seeing the 16 oz. Margaritas for $1.75 makes be almost want to run for office.
Pedestrian on Tremont
I love brick buildings.
My father was a mason, he worked with concrete, stone and brick. He told me many times he didn’t like building things that didn’t last forever.
Oh I miss him so.
Woof Top Art
More treasures from my afternoon of drive-by shooting. Looking up I spotted this psychedelic dog, what a fun way to perk up an old, tired brick building.
Painted Lady in Curtis Park
It was a drive-by shooting day for me. Not enough time to slow down and concentrate on doing it right. I was in a rush, but managed to find a few good shots without getting out of my car.
The thunderstorm came and left me scrambling to get home before the hail.
The Brand
In these days when it seems that everything that needs to be invented has been done, it is really hard to stand out.
Then you come along a place like Little Man Ice Cream where they have taken a common (but deeply loved) product and branded it in a new way.
The store is shaped like an old milk can. They sell T-shirts and offer an array of seating. They built a brand and the people come, hang out and make memories.
It works for me.
The Garden in the Air
Today I was looking at a property when I noticed this interesting garden in the air. The bottom has tomatoes growing out of it while the top is busy producing red peppers!
What a great idea, the animals can’t munch on it before the owners and the owners don’t have to waste their knees weeding and hoeing.
I like it!
16th & California
Colorado Convention Center, restaurants, retail, 16th St. Mall and lofts all wrapped together to make it one vibrant place to be and/or live.
Made in the Shade
On a hot day finding shade is the same as striking it rich! Yesterday it was 95 degrees when I snapped this photo. Trees maybe ordinary to some, but to me they are very, very special.
Travel By Train
It finally occurred to me I should start adding Denver, Colorado photos here since that’s the name of the blog! No worries, finding nice targets to shoot in Denver is very, very easy.
Here’s one of my favorites because of the colors. Union Station has been around for a long time and now it’s future is secure as a transportation hub of Denver.
