We’ve been watching the new IKEA store being built in Centennial. Today we decided it was large enough to be seen from space!
Harvest Festival in Arvada
Two young ladies enjoy the thrill of a roller coaster ride at sunset.
Camping at Chatfield
Campers in the Denver Metro area don’t have to travel very far to enjoy a great campsite. This campground is located at the Chatfield State Park, just to the south of the reservoir. The view and activities are endless. But you can see that!
Early Snow
We had a taste of winter last week when a snow came through dropping a couple feet of snow in the Denver metro area. By the weekend, the snow stopped the temperatures started to rise.
The white blanket left behind makes a wonderful contrast with the big blue sky.
R is for Reunion
Not Red Barn!
What can I say, I’m a sucker for water, a red barn, blue sky and Old Glory blowing in the breeze.
Who isn’t?
Arvada Harvast Parade
Arvada, a metro Denver suburb puts on a very notable Harvest Parade each year. Everyone in town seems to march along with bands and clubs from all over the state of Colorado. The event continues for several hours and ends with a weekend long festival.
It’s a great place to shoot local color.
Purple Dawn
The Lightrail Stations provide one of my favorite spots to shoot any time of day. This morning when a peeked out the window, the fog was thick enough to cut it with a knife. I love fog, probably because it is a rare occurrence where I live. Not wanting to miss the opportunity, I quickly dressed and went down to Lincoln Station.
I wasn’t disappointed!
