Hey, that broom is much like my day was today! Ha ha! Good to see you today at our meeting and your thoughts/suggestions got my “gears” a’ turning! Thanks as always for sharing your mind with us! I apprecate you!

Now that looks like a fun piece to shoot! Is it lighted at night? If so that would make one heckuva sepia or BW shot! Guess I’m going to have to start scouting out some artwork to experiment with. Thanks for sharing, Krystal!

Dave, That’s a great idea!
Wendi, Congrats on your new gig! So glad to see you there having you is a real plus for Ticor!
Carol, I’m such a freak about color, I love it bold and bright but maybe I’ll try your suggestion just for grins! Not sure this being lite at night. I’ll go see real soon…thanks!
I, too, love public art, but this one… not so much. Big Sweep? Cleaning House? Dustbin of History? I guess I just don’t get it. I think what bothers me the most is it’s just wrong, the bristles are bent in the wrong direction. The movement is out of the pan.
I like everything else these artists have produced (http://oldenburgvanbruggen.com/). Whimsical, colorful, engaging—I enjoy the whole “wonky scale” school of art. This one just leaves me feeling short-changed.
And yes, it is lit, but not with dramatic up-lighting or pin spots. It’s always come off very flat and uninteresting when I’ve shot it at night. But then… did I mention I didn’t like it?

LOL, I never looked at it critically, but you are right the bristles are going the wrong way! I still think it’s interesting.

Is there a giant vacuum as well?
