The sun falls leaving the final glitter of the day.
Sunsets on Mile High
An interesting structure didn’t seem to be weeping after the Broncos got whipped on Sunday.
Early Snow
We had a taste of winter last week when a snow came through dropping a couple feet of snow in the Denver metro area. By the weekend, the snow stopped the temperatures started to rise.
The white blanket left behind makes a wonderful contrast with the big blue sky.
Full Moon Rising
The Colorado Sky tends to be a focal point more often than not. I so enjoy when the full moon comes in and the Alpenglow reflects off the mountains onto the city.
Winter is Coming
No kidding! When traveling Trail Ridge Road anytime of year, winter is coming!
I once rode over this trail on my bike with a group of people. Two young ladies in the group were from Texas. On top of the mountain I watched them use duck tape to secure plastic shopping bags to their very cold, red, sore bare legs.
These Texans couldn’t get over how cold it was in June.
“Honey” I wanted to say, “you are standing at 14,000 feet above altitude. It’s never summer here.”
DUH.
Flatlanders.
R is for Reunion
Not Red Barn!
What can I say, I’m a sucker for water, a red barn, blue sky and Old Glory blowing in the breeze.
Who isn’t?
Reincarnation Denver Real Estate Style
I love when Denver real estate once having a previous purpose gets transformed getting a new life. In Congress Park I noticed this lovely old stone building with huge windows. It must have been a Fire Station at one time and is now a residential building.
Reincarnation has great possibilities.
Colorado Mountain Man an Original
Making an appearance in the Arvada Harvest Parade is this delightful character, a Colorado Mountain Man. As he passed by I asked if was looking for gold.
Of course he said, “yes.”
Dumb question, I know.
Is there anyone who isn’t looking for gold?
My bad.
The Ford Truck
Standing on the corner in Morrison, Colorado one never knows what delightful sites will occur. This photo makes locals crave margaritas.
I don’t understand why.
