This week I enjoyed strolling around the Colorado Capitol Building on the inside. This photo was taken from the 3rd floor looking across the huge atrium. The railings are shiny gold as are much of the trim on the walls and ceiling.
Colorado State Capitol
The State Capitol building is open to the public for a variety of tours. I enjoy just walking around taking in all the wonderful details.
Happy New Year 2010!
May your New Year be prosperous, happy and bright!
Bison at Sunset
On this visit to Daniel’s Park, I was rewarded with Bison hanging out close to the road. The snow was covering their food source so dinner of hay was delivered. They stood munching close by, not minding me there at all.
Sunset at the Barn
Daniel’s Park Road is a dirt road, not a busy street, but still it amazes me how many people take this route. Guess since it’s one of my favorite places to visit, it must be the same for others. Sunsets from this ridge are always spectacular.
Bison at Sunset
Bill is enjoying a delivery of fresh hay tonight, as the ground was covered in snow.
Follow the Trail of Light
The holiday in Denver is not complete until one goes to view the City and County Building downtown.
It's Santa Dogg!
This guy thought he was a tough guy. He really didn’t like the Draft Horses pulling carriages on 16th St. Mall. He barked and barked and nearly pulled his owner to the ground.
“Let me at ’em” he seemed to be saying.
So much for Santa Dogg’s Holiday Spirit!
Street Tunes
It’s not often you get to see a piano on the sidewalk. This one was spotted on Larimer Street.
