A shortcut is the quickest way to get from one place to another. My shortcut to Crested Butte from Buena Vista was over this mountain pass. Considering the view, I disregarded the time I was saving by soaking up this view.
It’s one of the million reasons I live in Colorado. Who can blame me?

Awesome! I’ve made that drive, it can get hairy if it rains while you’re on the dirt part, but the vistas are muy buena indeed!
